A true hidden gem in St Albans! A lovely vibrant, buzzy, colourful and friendly atmosphere. The owner as created a beautiful restaurant tucked away through a side passage, attractively decorated with wall paintings by her daughter. We had a quick lunch this time with brilliant, tasty Bangladeshi street food, and have also ate a full meal more leisurely in the evening. Wide range of home cooked tasty dishes, a very special place. Just go, you won’t be disappointed!

This place is easily one of my favourite brunch spots. The food is an absolute 10/10 – full of flavour, generous portions, and proper comfort food. The service is just as good, really warm and attentive, and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home whether you’re with family or friends. I first came here with my mum and loved it so much I had to come back with my mates. My go-to order is the keema kathi roll, masala chips, and the Bengali pasta – all three are must-tries. Definitely worth at try!

I never fail to go to Cha and Nasta for a delicious meal whenever I am in St Albans. Bushra is wonderfully friendly and the food is exceptional — perfect flavour and texture balances, and great vegetarian options. Between the excellent atmosphere and interactions, and the food, this is the most heartwarming and tasty lunch option in the whole city, in my opinion. And if you've only got a few minutes, pick up a cha, because that is excellent too, whether iced in summer or hot in winter! The only downside is that I don't live in St Albans anymore so I can't go every week :D
